It’s all fun and games until you are awarded the most infected computer… We like to have a bit of fun here at Alltech Computers and on occasion come across some shareable moments. After 9 hours we have decided to create a new award called “The most infect computer award”.
Yes, 9 hours later, a scan has finally completed and our dear anonymous customer has been granted the our most infected computer to date. How do computers get so infected you ask? In this case, not having a good anti-virus program and spyware protection program. Having a a good anti-virus program and spyware protection program is not always enough though. Being wise about your browsing habits is also key.
One last bit of information, Microsoft is not going to call you to let you know your computer is infected. As per a spokes person from Microsoft, “You will never receive a legitimate call from Microsoft or our partners to charge you for computer fixes“.
Scam artists are using the phone to try to break into your computer. They call, claiming to be computer techs associated with well-known companies like Microsoft. They say that they’ve detected viruses or other malware on your computer to trick you into giving them remote access or paying for software you don’t need. If you do get such a call you can follow these suggestions by the Federal Trade Commission.
Be smart, safe and as always have a blessed day!
